Combining digital and analog photographic techniques allows me to explore history as well as select methodologies that best express my understanding today. Though images of people & places, the pieces comprising bodyland are abstracted & deconstructed so that portraits & landscapes meld.
How people treat each other & land are similar in my view. The colonialism & land-rape that are my history is also how my white female body is treated within that culture today. These works are me questioning my complicity in that & I invite you to do the same.
